Yes, I know it sounds cruel. You’re probably asking “How do you expect me to do that when I am in so much pain?” Well, guess what? Exercising when you have cramps actually eases the pain. The hardest part is getting up to start but when you are past that, you begin to realize how easy and helpful it gets. Sit ups are really helpful options if you are interested in exploring some options.
2. Put a Heating Pad on Your Belly
A heating pad on your belly or lower back can ease the pain. No heating pad? Don’t worry. A hot water bottle filled with warm water may as well do the trick.
3. Take a Warm Bath or Shower
Warm water, like was mentioned in the point above, will do the trick for you. Just step in the shower and let the warm water run down your body and feel how well it eases those cramps.
4. Take Hot Leaf Tea
Leaf tea has anti-inflammatory substances that inhibit prostaglandins. Prostaglandins cause pain and are also responsible for the headache and nausea experienced by some women when they have menstrual cramps. Leaf tea when it’s hot helps neutralise the pain producing glands in the body.
